How to get started on your remodeling project
In your search for someone to design and or construct your remodel, you may have imagined it all starts with an architect. Truth be told, it starts with your dream and your requirements for your home.
There are two ways to approach the design and development stage of the remodel

An architect can be commissioned to provide design and permitting services. In most cases, months of work will be done on design and construction drawings.
The architect may hire consultants for structural engineering, a surveyor, or other fields needed for the construction documents. Once the architect has completed the work, in most cases, the plans and documents are passed off to the homeowner to solicit bids based on the drawings.
Those many months of time you put into meeting with the architect to develop the project are now translated into construction costs. In many cases, this is the first time the owner sees what the cost of the architect’s design will be.
Over our 30 plus year history in the business, we have seen tens of thousands of dollars spent on architects to produce drawings and designs that the owner cannot financially implement. There is a better way.

As the project evolves through the design process, we track the real costs of the design and integrate them into the initial budget. This enables us to show the owner how design decisions impact the overall cost of construction.
